Welcome to the Art/Art Marketing program!
If you want to become a fine artist, designer or media artist, United Tribes Technical College's Art/Art Marketing program is one of the best places to prepare yourself and move effectively towards achieving your goals. We are a community of visual creators directed to the highest standards of achievement. Within a collegiate setting, UTTC's faculty extend professional instruction and personal concern for every student. The faculty of UTTC's Art/Art Marketing Department are experienced professionals who have the utmost desire to see students succeed. Teaching is a sharing of skills, theories, concepts and ethics. Often students and faculty work side by side in learning, creating and discovering. Our Art/Art Marketing program courses cover a wide range of media from traditional Native American Arts and Crafts, traditional painting and sculpture media to the most current state-of-the-art computer graphics technologies available. We have undertaken a very special effort to integrate marketing and small business management into our program which sets us apart from other art programs. Todays art industry is highly competitive, but, with the proper training in marketing and small business management, a viable living can be made in the arts. UTTC's Art/Art Marketing degree courses, learning opportunities and rich resources combined with your talents can result in a very dynamic blend. You provide the energy, dedication, creative labor, imagination and patience, we will provide the tools, good light and a tolerant environment in which your ideas may grow stronger.
Our staff of professionals bring to the classroom over 65 combined years as working professionals in their areas of expertise. All of our instructors are dedicated professionals who bring real-world experience to the classroom. The Department Chairman, besides working in the Ad Arts Industry, has owned and operated his own Commercial and Fine Arts business for over 20 years. Our Tribal Arts Instructor is a practicing professional artist and instructor for over twenty-five years. The newly formed Computer Graphics division of our department is staffed by instructors who have over 40 years combined experience in graphic design, illustration and computer graphics. These instructors have left their private sector employment with one thing in mind... to help students with an interest in the arts become successful in their endeavors. Creative, motivated instruction with a focus on the "real" world is our mission.
United Tribes Technical College is a nonprofit corporation owned and operated by the five tribes located wholly or in part in North Dakota. Tribal owners: Three Affiliated Tribes of Ft. Berthold, Spirit Lake Tribe, Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, Sisseton Wahpeton Sioux Tribe, and Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa.
