Automotive Service Technology
Welcome to the Automotive Service Technology program!
Automotive Technicians face a challenging future in the automotive field as the increased complexity of technology continues to change the number of onboard computer controlled components. At UTTC our students will learn theory and use state of the art equipment to diagnose and repair these components.
Program completion qualifies students to take the nationally approved Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification exam. Graduates of the AST program can pursues a career as an Auto Specialist Technician, Service Manager, Shop Foreman/Service Writer, or as an Owner of an Independent Repair Facility. The AST Program is NATEF Certified.
Currently at UTTC we offer both a one-year Certificate program in Automotive Service Technology as well as a two-year Associate of Applied Science Degree in Automotive Service Technology.

United Tribes Technical College is a nonprofit corporation owned and operated by the five tribes located wholly or in part in North Dakota. Tribal owners: Three Affiliated Tribes of Ft. Berthold, Spirit Lake Tribe, Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, Sisseton Wahpeton Sioux Tribe, and Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa.
