Business Management
United Tribes Technical College offers three Business Management Programs. Academic majors include Small Business Management (BM-SBM), Tribal Management (BM-TRM), and Tourism and Hospitality Management (BM-THM). Students are uniquely prepared to enter the work force through entrepreneurship, multi-cultural work experience, and research projects. Upon completion of these degree plans, the student can expect to gain an entry level position in management in tribal, state, federal, and private businesses; transfer of credits allow students to continue their academic career at a four-year institution.
Business & Office Technology
The Business & Office Technology Program offers two-year AAS degrees in three separate areas of emphasis. Click here to view the Business & Office Technology Courses. The areas are (1) Administrative Assistant - general office, (2) Administrative Assistant - medical office, and (3) Information Processing Specialist. There are two one-year certificates offered (1) Administrative Assistant - general office and (2) Administrative Assistant - medical office. These degrees and certificates enable the graduate to pursue careers in a variety of occupations. Some of the many career choices available would be administrative assistant, general office secretary, medical office secretary, general and medical office receptionist, file clerk, bookkeeping/accounting clerk, banking administrative support, data and information entry/processing, general computer operators and the background necessary to continue into a four year degree in the Business careers. Some of the areas of employment are (1) Tribal governments-Tribal Headquarters, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Indian Health Services, and Casinos, (2) Educational Institutions-Tribal Colleges, State/Private Universities, Pre-K through 12 Schools, (3) State and Local/County Government Agencies, and (3) Public and Private Businesses.
United Tribes Technical College is a nonprofit corporation owned and operated by the five tribes located wholly or in part in North Dakota. Tribal owners: Three Affiliated Tribes of Ft. Berthold, Spirit Lake Tribe, Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, Sisseton Wahpeton Sioux Tribe, and Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa.
