Program Learner Outcomes
Graduates of the Computer Information Technology program will be able to:
- Select, install, configure, upgrade, use, maintain, support, and troubleshoot a variety of computer hardware and software.
- Install, configure, upgrade, use, maintain, support, and troubleshoot client and network computer operating systems.
- Provide user support for operating systems, applications, and computer networks using professional and effective communication skills.
- Understand basic network installation, configuration, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, support, administration, and security for basic networking hardware and protocols.
- Apply analytical problem solving skills for designing, planning, implementing, supporting, and documenting a small-business computer network.
- Apply fundamental security concepts to network communication, infrastructure and operations.
- Apply skills and knowledge in computer information technology, business, math, and communications to complete a network upgrade consultation project.
- Design, code, test, debug and document code for informational web pages and Visual Basic.NET programs using industry-accepted coding practices and standards.
