Distance & Continuing Education
United Tribes Technical College offers coursework and degree programs through its distance & continuing education division. Distance education is defined by our college as teaching and learning that occurs when the learner and teacher are in different locations or when the learning and teaching occur asynchronously. UTTC offers distance education through two different technologies: interactive video networking and online.
UTTC is an institutional participant in the North Dakota interactive video network (IVN) system. Several courses are offered through the IVN system each semester.
UTTC offers 6 associate of applied science degree programs completely online in addition to being offered campus-based. The programs are:
- Nutrition and Foodservice - Nutrition And Wellness
- Teacher Education - Early Childhood Education
- Teacher Education - Elementary Education
- Business Management - Small Business Management
- Business Management - Tribal Management
- Criminal Justice
Online learners should be self-motivated, possess above average time management skills, and have a reliable connection to the internet. These degree programs can be completely online and do not have a residency requirement (do not require you to come to campus). For more information about online degree programs, go to www.uttc.edu. For specific questions about one of the online degree programs, contact the academic advisor for the degree you are interested in.
