Position Title:  Director of Upper Division Degree Programs

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Under the direct supervision of the president, the following duties include, but are not limited to:
  1. Assesses feasibility of four-year degree programs (i.e., organizational structure, financial costs, policies, funding sources, staffing resources, support services, general requirements, partner colleges, teaching credential requirements, and current faculty credentials, etc.).
  2. Coordinate and work closely with the Administrative Council, Self-Study chair, Upper Division Task Force, Curriculum Committee, Monarch Center, ND Education Standards and Practices Board, National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, Sinte Gleska University, Minot State University and others as necessary.
  3. Prepare a budget plan, timeline, and teaching methodologies based on assessment findings.
  4. Facilitate the development of and delivery of three pilot bachelor degree programs (Elementary/Special Education, Business Administration, and Criminal Justice).
  5. Head initial NCA accreditation effort in partnership with the Upper Division Task Force for Elementary/Special Education and Business Administration degree programs.
  6. Prepare institutional change request and self-study document for NCA approval of Elementary/Special Education and Business Administration degree programs.
  7. Prepare job requirements for core faculty and general education to teach four-year degree programs and screen for hiring.
  8. Coordinate training.
  9. Assess ongoing performance of pilot programs (i.e., enrollment, student satisfaction, attendance, graduation, placement, etc.).
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

General office conditions. Normal working hours are from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Work in evenings and on weekends will be necessary on occasion. Regular written and verbal report to the President, Administrative council and the Board of Directors is required.

Preference will be given to bona fide American Indian applicants in accordance with UTTC policies and Federal Indian regulations for such preference.
