Position Title: DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies and plans to ensure the college's ability to deliver its programs and services.
- Identify, research, cultivate and solicit foundation, corporate, government and individual donors to support UTTC's mission.
- Proactively cultivate donors and develop an understanding of their areas of interest and giving levels so that appropriate proposals for programmatic, general operating and sponsorship support can be developed.
- Direct the preparation of all grant and sponsorship proposals/applications and direct mail appeals.
- Work directly with the President, the Administrative Council on all major donor solicitations.
- Direct the implementation of all fundraising events.
- Direct the maintenance of donor database and tracking systems.
- Produce quarterly and yearly reports as needed.
- Provide advice and counsel to the President and Administrative Council on all development related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in Business or related field is preferred.
- At least five years relevant experience with demonstrated consistent success in fundraising in a not for profit environment.
- Will need superior communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills, high motivation and a strong work ethic.
- Strong leadership, planning and organizational skills, ability to work well with diverse constituencies, including foundations and major donors.
- Will need to successfully pass a background check.
