Position Title:  KITCHEN AIDE/DISHWASHER - 3 Positions
Department:  Cafeteria
Reports Directly To:  Cafeteria Supervisor

Status:  Nonexempt; Academic Year
Salary:  $7.50

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Under the direct supervision of the Cafeteria Supervisor, performs all or some of the following duties:
  1. Scrapes food from dirty dished and places them in the dishwasher.
  2. Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and/or dishwasher.
  3. Fills napkins holders, and salt and peppershakers.
  4. Cleans kitchen, dining and bathroom areas.
  5. Removes trash and garbage and places it in the designated areas.
  6. Punctual and reliable in reporting to work.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

None.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Position requires stooping and lifting in the performance of duties. Schedule will be shift work with varying hours. Will need to be available for overtime hours as the need arises.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED. One year full-time paid experience preferred. Applicant will need to successfully pass a background check.

Preference will be given to bona fide American Indian applicants in accordance with UTTC policies and Federal Indian regulations for such preference.
