Position Title: Admissions Data Input Technician

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Under direct supervision of the Admissions Director, performs a variety of clerical duties of average/above average difficulty and performs related work as required. Ideal candidate must be detail oriented, time efficient, and team player.
- Operates a personal computer, printer, and applicable software to produce a variety of correspondence, memoranda, reports and other materials.
- To become ACT/Compass Certified to administer the exams.
- To administer criminal background checks
- Maintains a variety of files.
- Proofreads, checks and records information.
- Updates informational material as needed.
- Run daily procedures such as letters, labels, reports, through Jenzabar.
- Input data on notepad and info maker as needed.
- May perform a variety of specialized clerical duties, and other tasks related to the functions of the Admissions Department.
- Stay up to date with JICS Administrator Roles and processing the information.
- Participate in committee meetings as deemed by Supervisor
- Data input of all inquiries from Jenzabar and others, such as, phone, office, in-office, etc.
- Performs other projects/tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Business Management or related field.
Must have knowledge of rules of punctuation and grammar desired.
Must have the ability to learn the requirements of UTTC’s admissions policies, and of the vocational programs offered by the institution.OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong ability to relate and deal with people in a positive and friendly manner within the context of interviewing, educational counseling and public speaking on the college’s behalf.
Requires knowledge of secondary and post-secondary school curriculum. Ability to effectively interpret tests, measurements and performance indicators relative to academic and vocational programs required. Demonstrate excellence in written and oral communication.
Must be familiar with the college’s philosophy, mission statement, policies and procedures.
THE KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED PERFORMING THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
General office practices and procedures.
Basic methods of recordkeeping and filing.
ABILITIES TO:
Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
Make simple mathematical calculations.
Communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Meet the public with courtesy and tact.
Read and write at the level required for successful job performance.
Operate a personal computer and use basic and Jenzabar specific software.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed.
Knowledgeable of computer.
