Position Title: Bus Rider

Salary:  $15 per ride

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Under the direct supervision of the Elementary Principal, performs all or some of the following duties:

  1. Ride along with the Bus Driver to help control behaviors and safety rules on the bus.
  2. Check in the office to obtain bus list.
  3. Check students onto the bus.
  4. Make a copy of the check list and give to the office.
  5. Reports to principal incidents of non-compliance.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.

INDEPENDENCE OF ACTION:

To be on time and available to ride the bus everyday after school.  To maintain records of students who ride the bus.  To be able to discipline and maintain safety rules on the bus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working with Indian children preferred.  Must be 18 years old or older to apply for this position. Able to provide own transportation to and from work.

If selected for the position, the applicant is subject to a complete background investigation with a favorable determination.

Preference will be given to bona fide American Indian applicants in accordance with UTTC policies and Federal Indian regulations for such preference.
