Position Title: HEAD WOMEN’S BASKETBALL COACH
Department: Studednt & Campus Services
Reports Directly To:  Athletic Director

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

  1. The Head Coach is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Women’s Basketball Program relative to the sport.
  1. Conduct practice sessions and coach scheduled games.
  1. Responsible for coordinating all fund raising activities for the Women’s Basketball Program.
  1. Must submit updated player and team stats to NJCAA Websites throughout the basketball season.
  1. Monitor student-athletes’ academic progress, and coordinate mandatory study tables with the Women’s Assistant Coach.
  1. Responsible for active recruitment of student-athletes for Women Basketball.
  1. The Head Coach is under the direct supervision of the Athletic Director regarding all coaching duties. 
  1. Must comply with the policies and procedures set forth by UTTC, the NJCAA, and Mon-Dak Conference.
  1. Must be able to maintain discipline of student athletes.
  1. Will supervise assistant coaches and assign respective duties, and responsibilities.
  1. Transports athletes to and from the scheduled away games.
  1. Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Position will require working evenings, weekends, and out-of-town travel.  Will need to be able to bend, stoop, walk, and run as part of daily functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must have a working knowledge of Women’s Basketball, and have previous coaching experience and/or collegiate playing experience.
  2.  Must have experience in prevention and care of athletic injuries.
  3. Bachelor’s Degree required.
  4. An acceptable motor vehicle record with a valid commercial driver’s license or the ability to obtain one upon hire.  A copy will need to be submitted upon application.

Preference will be given to bona fide American Indian applicants in accordance with UTTC policies and Federal Indian regulations for such preference.

If selected for the position, the applicant is subject to a complete background investigation with favorable determination.
