Thunderbirds host Montana teams

      The United Tribes Men and Women's basketball teams continued their seasons with conference games at home January 13 and 14 against two teams from Montana.

      The Lady T-Birds fell to Dawson Community College 101-61. Whitney Hale had 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the team. Paula Spotted Horse scored 16 and Brydget Rogers had 14 points. The DCC Lady Buccanears were lead by Tish Hall's 36 point performance.

      The Thunderbird men defeated DCC 99-92. Four players scored in double digits lead by Eric Aims Back's 27 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Cole Glade and Pat Cole scored 19 a piece followed by Alden Spoonhunter with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Cory Doolan scored 30 points for Dawson.

Watched by the ref and fans, Paula Spotted Horse (Crow Agency) sets for three-pointer in the game against Dawson.

      The Lady T-Birds were defeated by Miles Community College 96-47. Brydget Rogers and Paula Spotted Horse both scored 16 points for United Tribes. Fawn Packineau handed out 6 assists. Aga Lorenc had 35 points for MCC.

      The Thunderbird men beat MCC 99-92 to improve their record to 10 wins and 8 losses. Miles came into the game ranked 14 in the Nation in NJCAA Division I. Cole Glade scored 22, followed by Mathew Red Bear's 21, shooting 6/13 from beyond the 3 points arc. Pat Cole scored 18 and Wesley Bearstail had 17 points. Carl Aims back lead United Tribes in rebounding, pulling in 12 boards. Trevor Morris had a game high 39 points for the MCC Pioneers.
