Census Road Tour at United Tribes on Friday

BISMARCK (UTN) - United Tribes Technical College will host a visit of the 2010 Census “Portrait of America” Road Tour on Friday, February 19 at the college from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Lewis Good House Wellness Center. The event is open to the public.

      According to the Denver Regional Census Center, the Road Tour is a high-tech, traveling exhibit that features LCD screens, kiosks and cameras that describe the census and the American population and allow visitors to interact with the technology and become part of the information.

      A public program is scheduled at 2 p.m. in the wellness center healing room featuring Jeff Baker, enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, tribal liaison for the Denver Regional Census Center.

      The event is sponsored at United Tribes by the college administration, Lewis Goodhouse Wellness Center, Chemical Health Center, and the Strengthening Lifestyles Program.
