United Tribes Golfer Laramie Keplin Headed to National Tournament

BISMARCK (UTN) – Laramie Keplin will be the first-ever United Tribes Technical College golfer to compete in the NJCAA Division 2 National Golf Tournament.

Keplin earned the right to compete on the national stage by claiming medalist honors at the Region XIII championship in October 2013.  His two rounds of 74 and 80 for total of 154, earned him the win by 6 strokes.

           The national meet takes place May 20-23 at the Black Course at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Indiana.

           Keplin will take-in two practice days prior to opening round play on May 20. There will also be a banquet prior to the tournament.


           Keplin is an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa. He is a Liberal Arts student at United Tribes. He will be accompanied to the tournament by UTTC Golf Coach Ray Helphrey.
