WASHINGTON, DC - United Tribes Technical College President David M. Gipp testified Thursday, May 25 before the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs about higher education funding needs for American Indians and Alaska Natives.
"Culturally appropriate higher education for American Indians and Alaska Natives works," said Gipp. "It is deserving of the full support of Congress and the Executive Branch. Indian people today want quality, culturally appropriate, higher education as never before."
