BISMARCK, ND - The Mayor's Human Relations Committee invites Bismarck residents to the second Mayor's Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, July 21 at the Best Western Doublewood Inn, 1400 E. Interchange Avenue.
"The Human Relations Committee made great strides in educating Bismarck residents about diversity at the first Town Hall Meeting in April," said Bismarck Mayor John Warford. "This meeting will keep the momentum going."
The July meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will feature on open microphone for questions and comments on diversity. Participants will be invited to break into groups to draft goals or an action plan to end discrimination and promote diversity in Bismarck.
"This meeting will be a great opportunity to give valuable feedback to the city on these issues," said Kameran Ali, Human Relations Committee Chairman. "The first step to stopping discrimination is education. We don't hate if we understand."
