Dorgan to be honored for diabetes work

North Dakota U. S. Senator Byron L. Dorgan will be recognized and honored Wednesday, August 11 for his national leadership and work on the problem of diabetes.
Dorgan will attend an event beginning at 9:15 a.m. in the lower level of the United Tribes Technical College Jack Barden Center with representatives of the American Diabetes Association, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and National Indian Health Board.
Individuals with diabetes will visit with Dorgan about their stories and the national groups will honor him for his vocal support and leadership in passing and extending the nation’s Special Diabetes Program.
