3 September 2013

BISMARCK (UTN) - Members of the Fort Yates High School basketball team of 1973 will be grand marshals Saturday, September 7 for the 2013 United Tribes "Parade of Champions."

The Warriors will lead the moving display of American Indian culture from the State Capitol through the heart of the city beginning at 9:30 a.m. Groups and individuals from area and around the region are invited to participate. Cash awards are offered for winning entries.

Parade staging begins at 8 a.m. in the west parking lot of the State Capitol building. The route is from Boulevard Avenue south on Sixth Street to Avenue C, west one block to Fifth Street, and south on Fifth Street through downtown to Kirkwood Mall.
