BISMARCK (UTN) - United Tribes Technical College will host a health fair Thursday, October 17 from 1-4 p.m. in the Lewis Goodhouse Wellness Center. All students, staff and members of the campus community are welcome.
Among the free services offered will be flu shots, breast exams, blood pressure reading, chair massages and taste testing.
A Breast Cancer Awareness Walk is scheduled for 4 p.m. and a Domestic Violence Awareness Walk at 6:30 p.m.
More than 50 organizations will be represented including the American Lung Association, Bismarck-Burleigh Public Health, Custer Family Planning, Public Health Service/Indian Health Service, Standing Rock Suicide Prevention Program, Ruth Meiers Hospitality House, North Dakota Safety Council, Red Cross, and these United Tribes programs: Bike Share, Center for Personal & Academic Counseling, Chemical Health, Disability Support Services, Medical Nutrition Therapy, Safety Department, Strengthening Lifestyles, Land Grant Extension and Student Health.
The event is sponsored by the United Tribes Wellness Circle and the college’s Student Health Center.
