Spooky event offered at UTTC
24 October 2007

BISMARCK (UTN) United Tribes Technical College invites those of strong heart to take in a spooky experience for Halloween. Students in the college's Art-Art Marketing Program are offering hair-raising tours of a large, walk-in root cellar on the college campus in Bismarck.

"The Cellar" will be open to the public from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. beginning Saturday, October 27 and running through Wednesday, October 31.

Admission is $6 per person. The tour is not recommended for children 12 and under. A separate play area for children will be available; admission $2.

The root cellar is believed to date from the earliest years of the Fort Lincoln military post, which was constructed between 1899 and 1902. The military facility was converted to educational use in 1968.

The cellar is located on the east edge of the UTTC campus; signs will mark the way for visitors. Parking is available.

The event is presented by UTTC Art-Art Marketing Department. Proceeds will be used for art projects by students. For more information contact Shawn Holz, 701-255-3285 x 1360, sholz@uttc.edu.
