United Tribes NewsEagle Sculpture Dedication
1 November 2006
BISMARCK (UTN) - The dedication program for the sculpture of an eagle in Steamboat Park along River Road is set for Friday, November 3 at 1:30 p.m.
"Reflections" is the third public sculpture for the city of Bismarck designed and constructed by UTTC Art-Art Marketing students. The enchanting work depicts an eagle in flight with its wings enfolding "Mother Earth," a seven-foot diameter stainless steel gazing ball.
In case the weather doesn't warm enough by early afternoon, the program will take place in the Sertoma Club Community Center in Sertoma Park, the brick building next to the Super Slide.
Partners in this public art project are United Tribes Technical College, Bismarck Parks and Recreation District, and Bismarck-Mandan Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Committee.
