Fundraising event held in New York City

ALUMNI SPEAKER: Brandon Stevens was among former students who spoke about their experience at United Tribes during a fundraising event October 30 in New York City. Stevens is a 2004 grad and newly elected Oneida Nation of Wisconsin councilman. The event was attended by 58 business owners, Tribal Leaders, political leaders, educators and media and was held at the Ramscale Studio. Stevens presented $500 on behalf of the Smokey Robinson Foundation and $5,000 from the Spirit of Sovereignty Foundation of the National Indian Gaming Association. The Robinson Foundation helps remove barriers to student success and promotes leadership. NIGA is a longtime supporter of exceptional Native students. Both contributions go to the “Opportunities in the Making” Scholarship Campaign.
