UTTC Fall Honoring is Friday, December 19

BISMARCK, ND - An honoring program for Fall 2003 graduates of United Tribes Technical College is scheduled for Friday, December 19 at 11 a.m. in the UTTC Cafeteria.

      Fourteen UTTC graduates will be honored with Associate of Applied Science Degrees in eight fields of study. Automotive Technology: Fredrick Medicine Stone, Fort Peck, MT. Criminal Justice: Douglas Grover, Assiniboine Sioux, MT. Computer Support Technology: Francis Bosch, Turtle Mountain, ND, Joseph Mountain, Standing Rock, ND. Early Childhood Education: Linda Schultz, New Salem, ND. Nutrition and Food Service: Lisa Anderson, White Mountain Apache, SD, Leighton Eagle, Standing Rock, ND. Office Technology: Toni Lynn Arcoren, Crow Tribe, MT, Chris Harrison, Standing Rock, ND, Shannon Leah Pease, Crow Creek, SD, Rhonda R. Yankton, Cheyenne River, SD. Small Business Management: Nancy M. Big Crow, Oglala, SD. Tribal Management: Barbara Lynn Abrams, Seneca, NY, and Merry Brunelle, Turtle Mountain, ND.

      Guest speaker is Dr. Jacqueline Quisno, who practices medicine with the Indian Health Service in Fort Yates, North Dakota. Dr. Quisno grew up on the Fort Belknap Reservation in north central Montana. She is a graduate of the University of Washington Medical School, Seattle, Washington. She did her residency at the UND Family Practice Center, Bismarck, where she resides with her family.

      The drum group Cannon Ball Singers will provide opening and closing songs. Bob Parisien, UTTC Financial Aid Director, is Master of Ceremonies.

      A noon reception and meal follows the program. The public is invited to attend.
