UTTC Fall Honoring is Friday, December 20

BISMARCK (UTN) - A program to honor mid-year graduates of United Tribes Technical College is scheduled for Friday, December 20 at 10 a.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Lewis Goodhouse Wellness Center on the campus in Bismarck.

      Thirty-eight graduates will be honored during the program, which is open to the public. Included will be honor songs, awards and individual student recognition.

      Scheduled is a pair of guest speakers, Dr. Sara Jumping Eagle (Oglala Lakota), a pediatrician at Mid-Dakota Clinic, Bismarck, and her husband Chase Iron Eyes (Standing Rock), an attorney and indigenous rights advocate, founder of the website Last Real Indians.

      Individual graduate photos are scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Wellness Center. A meal for all graduates and guests will follow the program.

      Fall Honoring completes the semester and marks the beginning of a holiday break before the spring term begins with the start of orientation on January 2. Classes resume on January 6.
