ServSafe course set for New Town

BISMARCK (UTN) - Experienced food service workers and managers, daycare workers, food vendors, and private restaurant owners are encouraged to attend the nationally recognized ServSafe course set for January 9 to 11 at Four Bears Casino and Lodge, New Town, ND.

      This intensive food safety class is taught by United Tribes Technical College food safety educator Pat Aune. The course covers all phases of food safety; health problems caused by poor food handling, hand-washing and personal hygiene, food codes and business issues, cleaning and sanitation procedures and times and temperatures for cooking, serving and storing foods.

      At the conclusion all participants take the national ServSafe Exam. ServSafe certification is provided by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.

      The $125 fee includes the ServSafe Coursebook, Third Edition, printed resources and UTTC's Together, Sharing Food Safely CD.
